Fight against Grand Chase team management
Greetings, fellow gamers. You may or may not know of the game Grand Chase, a MO 2D fighting game. While Grand Chase is certainly a good game, the team managing Amercian Grand Chase are certainly as horrible. They don't care about maintaining the game, they offer terrible customer support services, and they "trick" people into buying cash. I'm going to provide the proof to justify my claim here.
GC TEAM LIES TO PUBLIC CONCERNING DISCONNECTION ISSUES (Around February 2009)
During a regular month of Grand Chase, GC suffered terrible latency issues, forcing players to disconnect from the game as well as lagging out in dungeons consistently. The issue became so terrible that GC team made server announcements concening it. One night, I asked a GM when they're going to have said issue fixed. The GM replied that they're working around the clock to fix the problem. The GM continued by messing around in the park, and accepting people's challenges to pvp. I'm sure that most people would agree that running off to play the game is not "working around the clock to fix the problem". Latency issues are still a problem to this day(from my experience, people did not error out so much in the past as present)
GC TEAM FAILS TO RESOLVE NON-CASH RELATED ISSUE (March 29, 2009-present)
Around February 20th, the Couples system was introduced. The system was extremely buggy. After my couple gave me rings, I did not have rings to equip in my couples screen. I bought a pair of rings and used the upgrade option, and now we have a pair of rings equipped, and another pair in inventory. Furthermore, I still had the rings I bought in my personal inventory, I sold them. The actual issue came around when my couple bought the 15 day cash clothing from the shop. These clothes appeared in both our couple inventories. At the time of expiration, the clothes I was wearing did not disappear while my couple's did. During March 29th, the 40th day of our couplage, my partner received new timed clothes which she pressed "OK" on, and it appeared in both our couple inventories. Whenever I attempted to equip the new items or unequip my expired items, I got an error and nothing happens. I immediately write a 1:1 support to GC team. GM Bawkzie informs me that they are working to resolve the problem. 2 months later, the problem still has not been resolve, nor did GC team follow up on it.
GC TEAM MESSES UP GP EQUIPMENT STATS (April 8, 2009)
GC team recently released new 3rd job and 4th job weapons during the release of Lire's 4th job, Nova, release. The Dragon(lvl 45) weapons had lower stats than the Celestial(lvl 40)weapons. I submitted a 1:1 support regarding this issue. GC team resolved the problem by nerfing the damage of the Celestial weapons. I would like to point out that this is not because these are the weapons original stats. GC team actually modifies their GP items so that they're considerably weaker than the cash items. One can determine this by looking at the GP items in shop. Indeed, the weapon stats are inconsistent. Ex 1: Arme's weaponry in 5 lvl intervals raises in stats: 13, 17, 16, 20, 34, 33, 33, 34, 33, 37, 50. This s because at level 55, the weapon has he most correct stats. GC teams tries to stagger their stats so that their weapons can tier up to this stat. At level 25, the weapon starts gaining considerable stats because at the beginning they made their growth too low. However, this gap is never filled, resulting in a 50 stat boost in the last weapon. Ex 2: Amy's weapons from 30 to 45 in 5 lvl intervals: 146, 149(3), 176(27), 202(26). It is quite apparent that not only is the stat growth from lvl 30 to 33 crap, but GC team also had no regard for how much stats Amy's weapons should have, period. Let's put the lvl 40 and 35 stats together(30) and divide by 2(15). The stats jumped from 15 growth to 26 growth in one level. Not only that, the lvl 40 and 45 stats are the as Ronan's lvl 40 and 45 weapon stats. The previous weapons DO NOT match in stats. One concludes that these stats were actully COPIED from Ronan. Note that lvl 45 weapon are currently Amy's highest weapons. They lack a final weapon to base their stats off of and chose to copy the stats from the neighboring character. Ex 3: Also focused on Amy, but this time, the armor is messed up. Meister Clan(30) set total stats: 74, 110, 110. Pegasus(35) set total stats: 75, 112, 112. A total of one stat point is increased for each piece of this armor. Later armor pieces grow by a pretty set rate. Definitely nerfed. Please read next section for more.
GC TEAM PURPOSEFULLY GIVES BAD GP EQUIPMENT (no date)
Following the previous section, this section talks more about the crime commited relating to GP items. First off, MOST 1st job and 2nd job GP weapons go all the way to level 55. During this time, our release of 4th and 3rd jobs, the new weapons being released only go up to level 45, if that. As you must be level 40 to gain 4th job, this means only 2 weapons. Even Amy's 1st job weapons are only up to level 45. This is not some "we need more time to roll out new weapons" bs. Indeed, just scroll over to the cash weapons, and one can see that every character has all their weapons up to level 61 in cash weapons. Furthermore, these items have untampered stats(see above section).
GC TEAM USES PLOY TO "SCAM" PLAYERS INTO CHARGING CASH (April 24, 2009)
In an effort to earn money, GC team held a weekend event where when you complete a Gacha dungeon, you gain free gacha coins. Furthermore, to help in this endeavor, when you buy a 20+3 Gacha coin bundle, you get 3 more free. GC team adds a "note" at the bottom of their ad. stating that prizes will be awarded after the event ends. Using this excuse, GC team refuses to award Gacha Coins earned by purchasing 20+3 bundles until after the event is over, ensuring that less people will complete the dungeon without buying more coins. However, the ad clearly states that the coins will be awarded in order to HELP YOU DURING THIS EVENT. When confronted, GM Bawkzie repeatedly and lamely points out the sidenote on the ad. and refuses to acknowledge above fact.(the full ad will be posted for all to see at a later time.
GC TEAM "TRICKS" PEOPLE ON GACHA DUNGEONS (no date)
As shown in above section, GC team is very careful about their advertisments. One such age old trick has been used by GC team repeatedly. GC team promises to increase their Gacha Dungeon drop rate for a limited time. We must note that in Gacha Dungeons, items DO NOT "drop" from anything. The increased drop rate proclaimed is nothing but a code in the program: (drop rate+xx%) with no real effects on what you actually receive from an egg. Many people can testify that this supposed boost did not help them get armor pieces or a pet. In fact, I played a dungeon 3 seperate times and got better results than my 2 times during supposed "better drop rate" event. The main point is, don't play Gacha dungeons, ever.
GC TEAM DELIVERS CONTENT BLINDLY DUE TO PUBLIC PRESSURE (April 22, 2009-present)
One week following the release of Nova. Abyss Knight, Ronan's 4th job was announced. Many players that antipicated the release of Arme's 4th job, battle mage, threatened to quit the game. In response, GC team immediately announced battle mage release following Abyss Knight week. The trend continues with the announcement and release of Viken, Ryan's 3rd job. While new content is a good thing, but GC team messes up yet again by releasing content too quickly, giving people only one week to prepare their characters for the next job, and giving no breaks in between. The release of Savior, Elesis's 4th job and Lire gave people plently of slack. I anticipate that GC team will rush to release their 8th character, Jin, following Viken week, giving players way too much work in a short period of time.
GC TEAM SHRUGS OFF DISCONNECTION ISSUES (May ??, 2009)
During May 06, 2009-May 12, 2009, GC suffered from latency issues yet again. GC's Gaikoz server disconnected all players frequently, while Gorgos server had a few disconnections. In response, GC team urges all their players onto the Gorgos server, despite knowing that the server would not fit all the players and that Gorgos was having disconnection issues as well. GC team went on to host their weekly pvp matches in the Gaikoz server.
GC TEAM STARTING TO WRITE GARBAGE ADVERTISEMENTS (may 27, 2009)
For the release of Viken, Ryan's 3rd job, GC team writes an advertisement for this special event, as they always do. However, this unique ad. differs with the previous ads. in that, GC team, lacking in creativity, decided to write a garbage ad. full of words that start with the letter V(for Viken). Not only were the passages painful to read, they also did little to describe what a Viken actually was. (The passages will be posted later but for now I'll just copy the text for you to read: For his invariably valiant voluntary venturing, Ryan has been vouchsafed as a veritably vivacious candidate forn the role of Viken. Vowing to vanquish the vapid villains of Nature for their venal acts of villainy, Ryan must now valantly prove his virtue as a veritabl vanquisher of evil and not a mere vigilante of verdant, violent justice. Vivify Ryan's claim to the title iof Viken an vindicate this vivacious visage of Nature's vengeance. At the termination of Ryan's venture to 'volve into a Viken are the veritably invaluable valuables, but you must complete this vexing vocatio before the 2nd of June.) Whoever wrote this ad., make more sense please(I could point out tons of faults in that article but we're not here for that). For writing this piece of garbage, I hope you get shot.
GC TEAM FORCES PLAYERS TO REDUCE THEIR FRIEND/BLOCK LIST SIZE FOR OWN SAKE (May 5, 2009)
No better way to say this than by quoting the team themselves. "Ah hoy, Knights!
It seems that the various Bosses of GC don't like it when our knights become more popular than they are and have threatened to lock out any Knight with too many friends (like there really can be such a thing!). Beginning June 3rd, the number of friends you can have on your GC Messenger friends list must be limited to 150. Along the same line, the maximum number of players you can have blocked is also 150. Please take a look at your friends list before the June 2nd patch and "clean house" if you will. Otherwise, the Bosses are going to go and have a field day on their own.
Recap -
By the June 2, 2009 Patch please reduce total friend count to 150.
By the June 2, 2009 Patch please reduce total blocked players count to 150.
- This is being requested due to technical limitations associated with the friends list/block system.
Any player "Friends" and or Blocked player lists that are greater then 150 may cause issues with with being able to log in or play Grand Chase as intended."-GC team
In short, we're being forced to reduce the size of our friends AND block list. GC team says it's due to technical issues, but simply from the fact that this isn't even a problem until after the NEXT PATCH tells us that you're purposefully reducing our list down to 150. For whatever lame reason this is being done, it certainly isn't because of "technical limitations associated with the friends list/block system." In my opinion, it shouldn't even be hard to make such a tiny problem as a friend's list work out.
